Business Collaborator boosts collaborative workflow management for Construction
Web-based software helps deliver projects on time and to budget to improve competitive edge
Business Collaborator Ltd today announced the launch of BC5.2, a project collaboration tool that automates paper-based processes and enables access to project information in real time via the Web. Created specifically for the architectural, engineering and construction sector (AEC), this software offers improved workflow management and interactions. Its flexibility also gives customers access to a more real-life project environment without having to re-engineer tried and tested processes.
BC5.2 breaks down workflow barriers by incorporating all responses and comments made against a project task. It ensures discussions and comments are captured and held in the system, thus providing a single source of truth and assisting in the elimination of information silos. By integrating these discussions into the workflow, team members can respond with queries or requests for clarification without duplicating processes. This reduces the risk of costly mistakes and increases compliance to key performance indicators. It also improves the collaborative process at the early contractor stage by collecting more informal stakeholder interactions.
"The construction industry is searching for ways to reduce cost and save time," commented Sanjeev Shah, Managing Director at Business Collaborator Ltd. "Using collaborative technology improves a firm’s ability to compete for and deliver work".
"Many firms forget that collaborative working is an ethos enabled by technology. BC5.2 is different because it has been developed with the understanding that it is people who collaborate and its purpose is to encourage and facilitate that collaboration," continued Shah. "We differ from other software providers because we ensure that the systems we implement truly reflect our clients’ working patterns, meaning they don’t need to go through the costly exercise of re-engineering their processes."
BC5.2 is available direct as a single, shared, secure and fully managed environment hosted via the web, or as a self-hosted system.
